And I ended up with this nice bloody gash in my knee, and also my jeans...
Funny thing is that when I just got my first 7161's I also fell with my bike and as such have a lighter spot on exactly the same spot on my knee.
Repaired it already but figured I could take some pics while I was at it:
Not much to see in terms of fading, but it does show my whole "set-up"...
Did a traditional hand repair, stitched a piece of the beautiful Cone "tweed" denim under it and then folded in the edges and stitched over those

As good as new!
Am a little over 2 months of solid everyday wear on my CPO shirt, and while it's still to early for a detailed wear update, what is there is very promising already, but doesn't come out to well in photo's yet.
I do however have something else to show, inspired by vintage photographs of sailors I figured I'd just go for it:

Am quite happy with how she came out, based her on a Vargas girl and put her into a navy outfit.
Considering I hadn't painted for years and that the shirts 11oz denim isn't the smoothest surface to paint on I think I did a fairly good job.

The pockets aren't very deep and while they were perfect for my bi-fold I felt that it was a bit of a tight fit for my new Flat Head wallet, especially since I bike quite a lot, and I didn't want to risk it popping out. So the obvious thing was to add some fabric to the top of the pocket.
Also decided that everything I do to them from now on will be done completely by hand.
To make it blend in more with the jeans and prevent it from being an obvious extra piece I decided to make the piece of denim come out of the pocket and cover up the rivet

Used very nice green line selvedge denim from a pair of Levis RED's (apologies for the inconsistency of the lighting)
And done:

For comparison, this about how much the wallet came out with out the extra piece (folded down for the picture)
And a bonus pre 200 days wash Teaser pic...

Talking to Christophe about my jeans I told him that I kept track of the days I've been wearing them. I do it in a diary but he asked if I did it prisonstyle with stripes on the inside.
I thought that was a very nice idea, but decided to change it a little.
So after a couple of hours catching up, here is the back of my lower right leg.
177 days, 1 wash (at 99 days marked with red):
From now on at the end of every day I've worn them I will add a stitch, and to be able to do that properly here's a small sewing kit I quickly made. It goes in my left back pocket.
