Oddly enough my favorite piece from the last couple of LVC seasons is not a pair of jeans, it's not even made out of denim.
And not only that, no matter how hard I'd try, it won't look good on me.
Luckily it looks lovely on my girlfriend!

This 1940's, shrunken Levi's Sportswear men's tee from the Great Depression and Dust Bowl inspired "Wrath & Dust" S/S09 collection manages to speak to my imagination like a simple white t-shirt has never done before.
Did a gal hand-embroider this for her boyfriend and did it eventually shrink down to her size after numerous washes?
Or was it a very crafty young man who cross-stitched it onto his favorite (but now sadly shrunken) T-shirt to give to his fair lady?
It not only directly tells the wearer that they are being loved but it also represents a sparkle of hope in what were without a doubt dark times during the "Dirty Thirties" (though if one were to be nit picky, in that case it would've made more sense if it were a 30's tee...).
It proves that with a little effort even a t-shirt can be far more valuable than all the jewelry in the world.
It's the thought that counts!

I could go on, anyway, apart from a few exceptions it is normally only with true vintage pieces that I can let my imagination run wild like that...
