I'm a big fan of bandana's and personally wear one every day.
While I have managed to collect quite a bunch of them over time, there is one which gets by far the most use.
It is my "Go-to" bandana if you will.

I've had this 45rpm 100% cotton, indigo dyed, discharge printed gem for little over two years and can only imagine what it'll look like with 8 more years of use.

This is what it looked like brand new, as you can see it has gotten slightly lighter overall,
has warped because of me twisting and knotting it and has developed a fine light blue line across the middle where I fold it into a triangle.

Both corners that are not normally rolled up have lost significantly more indigo than the rest of the fabric.
As is seen more often on bandana's one side is cut from the fabrics self edge as it is simply less work to leave it like that as opposed to rolling and stitching it as is done with the other 3 sides.

It's quite interesting to me that over time even something as simple as an indigo bandana can develop a wear pattern and as such tell the story of how it has been worn.

Funny how attached one can get to a simple square piece of fabric...
